Our History...
Established in 1985, THVS was initially founded as Thomas Hardie Engineering. But even further back than that, Vehicle Solutions went by the name of Nova Scotia Bodies until 22 years ago, when Thomas Hardie Commercials bought-out the franchise.

Chorley property contains two, state-of-the-art low bake oven booths, which can accommodate anything from a small cab panel right up to a full height double deck trailer. Everything is painted with two packs and there are stringent quality standards to be adhered to across the entire painting process.

Tipping wet kits and walking floor kits probably predominate these works at present but we also do shaft-driven solutions, alongside hydraulic and pressure discharge equipment.
In 2021 we added Vehicle Safety Systems to our extensive products and services portfolio.
Working in collaboration with Spillard’s Vehicle Safety Systems means we’re able to supply and fit an impressive range of multi-camera and DVS (Direct Vision Standard) equipment.
In addition, and most recently we introduced human detection into our extensive product safety portfolio, which identifies vulnerable road users through deep intelligent mapping.
Human detection, coupled with the Spillard Live fleet management platform, not only tackles the immediate issue, but also provides you with instant warnings, reports, videos, and data.
